October 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph a micro-wedding alongside a local photographer in Tennessee. The wedding took place at the picturesque Marbury Farm, and it was the perfect way to end my year.
This intimate celebration was more than just a wedding—it was a story of love and connection. The couple’s journey was extraordinary. He had built her a house on their land, and they chose this property, rich with meaning, as the backdrop for their vows. We explored the grounds together, driving to the ceremony site, where they exchanged promises surrounded by nature’s beauty.
The day was filled with laughter, sweetness, and genuine moments. They were an absolute joy to work with—playful, relaxed, and full of personality. I could tell they were soaking in every moment and simply enjoying their time together.
Adding to the charm were their two lovable dogs, Layla and her equally adorable companion, who eagerly joined the festivities. Even a curious mule from a neighboring farm wandered over, determined to steal the spotlight. Watching the bride interact with the mule was a heartwarming and humorous highlight that made the day even more unforgettable.
This wedding wasn’t just a job; it was a reminder of why I love what I do—capturing the beauty of love, the spontaneity of life, and the connections that make every story unique. It’s a memory I’ll always cherish.
